Around The Post
The around-the-post winner. A sharp cross-court dink pulls P1 wide off the sideline; instead of going over the net, the ball travels around the post (it can pass below net height) and lands in for a winner.
P1 and P2 play together, against P3 and P4. Press play to watch it, or step through it one shot at a time; the step on the court is highlighted below.

- A dinking rally, everyone at the kitchen line.
- Dink by P1: P1 dinks cross-court to P4, close to the sideline.
- Dink by P4: P4 answers sharp and cross-court, pulling P1 wide off the court.
- Around the post by P1: Around the post, not over the net — legal, and there is no defence for it.
