Return down the middle, then cover it: the deep middle return takes the angles away, the serving team has to drop, and P3 takes the middle at the line.

- Serve by P1: Deep, to the receiver in the far court.
- Return by P4: Returned down the middle, which takes the angles away.
- Drop by P2: The serving team has to drop from the baseline.
- Dink by P3: P3 covers the middle, as the name says.
